Alliance Privilege Appointment Assistant Program

Alliance Privilege Appointment Assistance is a program designed to give seniors that live independently peace of mind, support, and freedom to travel safely throughout the Village of Garden City and outside the Village of Garden City for home care recipients.  This program provides seniors with Appointment Assistance, including courtesy transportation and support to help them to maintain their independence without putting a burden on their loved ones who lead a busy life and have their own families. 

Garden City Senior Courtesy Transportation Assistance 

On a monthly schedule, the Alliance Privilege Program will provide Appointment Assistance, including one (1) round pick-up and drop-off session to and from appointments per week throughout the Village of Garden City, Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. This is a communal service and other service participants could be transported along with you to other destinations. 

Yes, ONLY if you receive Companion Care and other home care services from Alliance Services you qualify for the Alliance Privilege Appointment Assistance. Rates for Companion Care start at $24.95 per hour. Call 516-373-1516 for more information or ask your Care Coordinator about the benefits of the Alliance Privilege Program.  

Appointment Assistance including courtesy transportation is for Alliance Privilege Program participants and one Care Companion. During the introductory period or within 7 days of sign-up, the senior can invite one friend to come along. There may be a nominal fee charge for the friend after the introductory period ends. The fee will be assessed and disclosed at the time of scheduling. 

Appointment Assistance including courtesy transportation is available on a first-come basis. A three (3) business day reservation is required. A monthly schedule of appointments is preferred. 

Appointment Assistance including courtesy transportation offers seniors on a schedule one (1) round trip pick-up and drop-off session to and from an appointment per week in the Village of Garden City as a courtesy NOT required of Alliance Services. Any additional appointments the same day/week within the Village of Garden City for the pick-up and drop-off session will be billed at a minimum of $30.00 per session for the assistance. 

If anyone wants the Appointment Assistance including courtesy transportation and is going outside the Village of Garden City, they must complete an assessment to determine physical and cognitive ability to travel alone without a care companion. 

If you are deemed capable to travel alone, an Appointment Assistance fee will be assessed and disclosed at the time of scheduling. For example, an Appointment Assistance courtesy pick-up and drop-off session to the airport from the Village of Garden City is a 3-hour session to and from, which would cost $180.00, plus expenses which does not includes tolls, parking and $30 each additional hour. If you are deemed unable to travel alone and require additional assistance, you will pay a flat fee of $265 for the same session. This includes an additional paid Care Companion from Alliance Services. The fee will be assessed and disclosed at the time of scheduling. The introductory service charges for the companion care professional start at $25.95 and ends after 30 days of enrollment. After 30 days of enrollment, the charge for the companion care professional is $27.95 per hour.      

Call 516-373-1516 as soon as possible or within 24 hours so that we can accommodate other service participants for that time slot. 

No fee will be charged for cancelled rides, provided rides are cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time. If the driver arrives at your home and the ride is cancelled at that moment, a $25 fee may be assessed against your account.  

Non-home care recipients who qualify pay $365 on an annual service agreement using a credit card or a check. 

The Alliance Privilege Appointment Assistance Program is FREE for seniors who receive companion care from Alliance Services.
